Leadership Team
As MWBE small business owners, Darling Nava and Estrella Sung forged a strong bond serving together at several advocacy groups and outreach events. Over several years, their partnership has grown to include new clients in the education, healthcare, and transportation industries.
ESJ Consultant, Senior Advisor
Darling is a pioneer in community advocacy, education, and development of M/WBE, VOB, and SBE firms in the construction industry. She began her construction career in 2007, where she learned all aspects of the industry working in multidisciplinary roles—from administrator, contract manager, to project manager on a jobsite.
As the owner of DNA Consulting, she is an independent equity and social justice (ESJ) consultant who previously worked for numerous General Contractors such as Lydig Construction, Spee West Construction, Milne Electric, Korsmo Construction, Zann, Inc., and HNTB
in a similar capacity.
Darling keeps current on equal opportunity and regulations for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her background as a contract administrator has allowed her to work together with small business subcontractors on local and public works projects.
She has had success on numerous projects and has achieved utilization goals when they were not a requirement by the owner. Her experience on inclusion goals includes projects for Seattle Public Schools, King County, Seattle Public Utilities, the Port of Seattle, City of Tukwila, and WSDOT.
Darling Nava holds state minority and woman-owned small business certification. MWBE#M4F0026198
